Three Little Birds Nurseries was established in 2019 by cousins James and Edward Morris. Together they worked in family businesses for 7 years, one of which was a highly successful childcare company. They feel very privileged to work together again at Three Little Birds and strive to create nurseries where family values and principles form the foundation for successful and nurturing childcare.

James Morris

James believes a secure foundation is essential to the development of children in their early years and that a combination of happiness, wellbeing, education and knowledge can give little people the best start in life.

As a father himself to a teenage son, James understands the importance of quality education and childcare, and this is why Three Little Birds’ nurseries are designed to be an extension of parents’ homes - offering a safe happy and inspiring environment to support families through their busy and challenging lives.

James extends The Three Little Birds mantra of happiness, wellbeing, education and knowledge to his wonderful family of staff who do a grand job of delivering amazing, creative childcare every day.

He is renowned for telling ‘dad jokes daily which everyone finds hilarious (of course!)

Edward Morris

Edward was the Head of Property and Facilities for Asquith Nurseries for 5 years. His key focus was running a £12m capital program focusing on new acquisitions and nursery building re-fits – from brand new builds to £2m extensions. Alongside this Edward built and managed a team of 12, including a garden refit team to design and build the next generation of gardens. Edward also created a new bespoke Asquith brand for the nurseries which was implemented in new sites and acquisitions. Previous to this Edward was a quality and standards manager for 4 years looking after the health and safety of 30 children’s nurseries, from all aspects including audits, training, reporting and RIDDOR. He is currently the co-owner director of Bambini Recruitment - an Early Years bespoke recruitment company.

Charlotte Gould

Charlie has worked within the childcare sector for over 16 years and has a background and passion for performing arts specialising in teaching dance for the Early Years.

During her 10 years at Asquith Day Nurseries she successfully achieved a ‘top ten’ day nurseries award in the East of England and achieved three personal Ofsted Outstanding gradings. Charlie then furthered her career and managed multiple settings within the Asquith portfolio.

Charlie’s proudest achievement is her son who is aged 12 and a passionate boxer. She spends her weekends and spare time training and supporting his fitness and training plans.

Libby Williams

Libby has worked within the childcare sector for over 23 years. Libby has a broad range of experience working with all ages. During her 18 years at Asquith Day Nurseries, her expertise in her managerial role enabled her to successfully operate a 86 place nursery to a very high standard taking it through a journey to being a ‘top ten’ nursery within the company.

After a number of really successful years with Asquith and during this time developing a number of nursery workers to become managers within the company, she pursued her passion for supporting nurseries to enable them to reach a high standard, by working with the managers and the teams at a variety of settings and being involved in multiple positive OFSTED inspections.

Throughout her journey, Libby was involved in other projects such as co-writing policies and ECCER’s auditing. At the companies ‘Awards of Excellence’, Libby won ‘rising star’ award which sits nicely on her office desk!

Libby has two children aged 9 years and 11 years, who both attended her nursery setting in their early years, which gave them a great start to their education. She thought these were the challenging times, however the pre-teenage years bring a whole new definition of ‘challenging’! They are both excelling in school and at home they do well at keeping Libby on her toes!!

Laura Millward

Laura has worked in a variety of childcare settings over the past 22 years. She started her career at a very unique 24 hour nursery on the outskirts of Gatwick Airport and successfully worked her way up through the ranks to Nursery Manager.

Laura believes passionately in providing opportunities for all team members to grow in their professional development and embark on exciting childcare careers of their own. She has supported projects including new nursery openings and managed an exciting 4 storey nursery extension for a leading childcare provider.

Outside of work Laura, like many, spends the evenings and weekends being mums taxi! She has 2 teenage children, 2 step children and a new puppy! She tries desperately to fit in her yoga and running, hoping to complete her third marathon next year! Watch this space!
